Privacy Policy

The Lucky Calendar Team ("we," "us," or "our") provides the Lucky Calendar mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it is shared and protected, and the choices available to you. Please review it before using the App.

Information you provide: - Account information, such as your email address and the sign-in method you choose. Authentication credentials are handled by our authentication provider. - Birth date and, if you choose to provide them, birth time and birth location. - Events, diary entries, notes, and other content you create. - App preferences, notification settings, reminders, and selected theme. Information collected automatically: - Random installation and session identifiers, account identifier when signed in, platform, app version, and a limited set of product events. - Technical information such as request time, IP address, error details, and service logs generated by our infrastructure. - Subscription status, product identifier, purchase and renewal events, and store transaction references. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

We use information to authenticate accounts; calculate birth charts and forecasts; generate reports; store events and diary entries; deliver reminders; provide and restore subscriptions; operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App; measure onboarding and feature performance; respond to support requests; prevent misuse; and comply with legal obligations.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide the App and fulfill our agreement with you, based on your consent where requested, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure service, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, but this does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

We use service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the App, including: - Supabase, Inc. for database hosting, authentication, and server functions. - Anthropic, PBC for AI-generated forecast and personality text. - RevenueCat, Inc. for subscription status and purchase management. - Apple Inc. for App Store purchases, Apple sign-in, notifications, and eligible Apple intelligence services. - Google LLC for Google sign-in and Google Play services when used. We may also disclose information when you direct us to, when required by law, to protect a person or the security of the App, or in connection with a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To generate a personalized report, the App may send the minimum forecast inputs and birth-chart data needed for that request to Anthropic. On supported Apple devices and configurations, selected report generation may instead use Apple intelligence services. Diary text and event titles are not sent for report generation unless a feature clearly asks you to include them.

Account information, birth-profile data, events, diary entries, and preferences are generally retained while your account is active. Product analytics and technical logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for security, diagnostics, and measurement. Purchase records may be retained for the period required by tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other applicable law. You may delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete Account. We will delete or de-identify associated personal information within a reasonable period, except information we must retain by law or for legitimate security and dispute purposes. Store subscriptions must be canceled separately in your App Store or Google Play account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. You can update profile information or delete your account in the App. For other requests, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, managed authentication, and restricted server-side access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our first-party product analytics records a limited set of events such as app opening, sign-up progress, onboarding completion, report readiness, paywall views, and completed purchases. These events do not include your email address, birth date, birth location, event text, or diary text. Notifications are optional. You can change reminder settings in the App and notification permission in your device settings.

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If we learn that this has occurred, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information. Users under the age of legal majority where they live should use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

The App is operated from Japan, and our service providers may process information in Japan, the United States, and other countries. These countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or service changes. We will provide notice of material changes in the App or by email where reasonably practicable. The updated policy applies from the stated effective date.
